On completing my Public Relations and Event Management post grad in Dublin in 2009, I left Ireland for the bright lights of LA and a taste of the high life. After a year spent living in a tiny one bed apartment, just off Hollywood Boulevard, I began to miss open green spaces and the Lord of the Rings convinced me New Zealand should be my next port of call.

Since joining Conferenz I have had had a variety of roles from researching and creating exciting new events to expanding our sponsorship portfolio. As a people person, I enjoy the direct interaction we have with our clients in assisting them maximise their event experience. Great events work for delegates and sponsors alike, and the crossover of my roles has given me a first hand appreciation of both aspects of our business.

A self proclaimed tea addict, I am trying to get out of the coffee shops and embrace the active outdoor lifestyle New Zealand offers. I tentatively began with dragon boating, and more recent attempts have included diving and kite surfing.

As someone who comes from another small county, I am continually impressed with New Zealand’s ability to punch above its weight globally and am proud to now call it my home from home.
