Jack Crutzen

Facilitator - Property & Facilities

Dutch born, Jack has over 20 years’ experience in corporate real estate management and facilities planning, strategic management, consultancy and project management, change management, re-engineering of departments and business processes, staff coaching and management, main contracting, outsourcing, purchase and logistics management, business strategy and cost reduction projects. During these years Jack also was responsible for several large ICT related projects such as: redesign of ICT department, redesign of call centre and ICT infrastructure, project manager and implementation of several information systems, project manager for digital archives/document management systems, project manager for the euro and millennium projects, project manager for telecommunication infrastructure.

In November 2005, he immigrated to New Zealand with this family and worked respectively for Westfield New Zealand, Excell Corporation and Westpac New Zealand. In the latter role he was responsible for a nationwide portfolio and was a senior member of the Westpac Properties & Procurement Leadership Team. Jack is a member of the FMANZ board and chair of the FMANZ Education Committee. He was highly involved in Westpac’s Our Tomorrow Sustainability Program and winning several national awards. In 2015, Jack started as director for PRISMA Facilities Management. PRISMA provides facility management and corporate real estate business consultancy. Since 2015 he has supported Auckland University of Technology as Associate Director FM Operations and recently as FM Change Manager. He also has been acting FM New Zealand for Fisher & Paykel Health Global. As consultant he has completed a full business review for a cleaning service provider and was involved as consultant to several major cleaning tenders. Jack also advises several other companies on FM Maturity strategies, asset management, business analysis and improvement strategies.  

Jack is a very experienced Facilities Manager, business consultant and professional leadership coach. Jack is a certified Facility Manager at IFMA and an accredited Professional Facility Manager via FMANZ. Since 2011, he also holds a Master in Corporate Real Estate via Corenet Global and is a member of Corenet New Zealand. Jack also was awarded the Senior Leader Corporate Real Estate certificate at Corenet Global in 2018.

Jack has been chair of the FMANZ Auckland Committee from 2010 to 2012 and deputy chair of the Board till September 2018. He also has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Genesis Youth Project for almost 10 years. 

Jack is also part-time senior lecturer at AUT University in FM and Asset Management papers.

Jack is a transformational CRE leader who develops insightful business strategies and designs simple, transparent implementation plans that deliver the bottom line result. He brings excellent people management skills and he is highly energetic, with the drive, charisma, and “can do” attitude to deliver exceptional outcomes. Jack has a clear vision how CRE portfolio management, asset management and workplace delivery as well as the creation of high performance teams can add value to the business success of an organization. His purpose is "to do good for the greater good" as well as constantly challenge the ability for himself and the ones around him to grow!
