Achieving successful working relationships with colleagues, managers or clients is not always easy. Many people fall into the trap of aggressive behaviour that results in antagonism. Assertiveness is not about changing our personality, it is about developing the skills to enable us to deal successfully with challenging situations in a confident, professional manner regardless of whether we are naturally reserved or outgoing.
