Energy Efficient Facilities Management
With rising energy costs, sustainability legislations and increases in market pressures to be more ‘green’, it is becoming increasingly important for people managing facilities to understand how to successfully minimise their energy uses and costs.
This course will teach you how to identify your current and past energy uses as well as your energy needs, to find areas you can reduce consumption whilst maintaining your quality of business. You will learn to select the most appropriate options to reduce energy for each building and to create an energy management plan to maximise the benefits of energy and carbon emission reduction and minimise your operational costs.
Key Learning Outcomes

- How to identify your current energy consumption and recognise practical areas to reduce your energy usage without compromising facility performance
- Your options for retrofitting and refitting buildings and how to evaluate your options for each building
- Developing and successfully implementing your own energy management plans
